Naved A. Jafri, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

NAVED A. JAFRI, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a native of Hampton. A graduate of Kecoughtan High School, he received his undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University, and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his OB/GYN specialty training at Wake Forest University’s Bowman-Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem NC. A professional goal of Dr. Jafri's is to educate women on the causes and treatments for urinary incontinence, and to correct the misconception that it is a natural consequence of aging and something they have to live with. Other areas of special interest include management of pelvic relaxation, pelvic reconstructive surgery, advanced laparoscopy, complete menopause management, and family-centered obstetrics.

Dr. Jafri lives in Poquoson with his wife, Dr. Rabia Jafri, and their four children. Dr. Jafri enjoys traveling, and volunteers his time on surgical missions with Project Bangladesh. In his spare time, the Jafri's can be found on their fishing boat with family and friends, or attending their childrens' many sporting events.
