Dr. Thomas Basco is the latest addition to our physician staff. Dr. Basco is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Originally from New York, Dr. Basco did his undergraduate training at Georgetown University and New York University. He received his medical degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2005, and joined Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Hampton, in May, 2010. |
Dr. Basco offers comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. He provides well women exams, contraception, management of abnormal Pap smears, fibroids, ovarian masses and abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Basco's areas of surgical interest range from minimally invasive procedures, such as laparoscopy, to restoration of pelvic floor disorders. Areas of interest in the office setting range from contraceptive issues to peri/menopausal issues, STD and HPV prevention, to managing precancerous conditions of the female reproductive system.
Dr. Thomas Basco wife's, Dr. Mary Basco is a family medicine physician employed by Riverside Health System. The Bascos live in Hampton with their three children. When he is not delivering babies, Dr. Basco enjoys bicycling, swimming, traveling, and attending his children's soccer games.
