Naved A Jafri, MD, FACOG
Keeping women healthy for generations to come
Dr. Naved A. Jafri is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology). In addition, he has earned the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) designation from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), recognizing advanced expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted techniques.
A native of Hampton, Dr. Jafri is a graduate of Kecoughtan High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wake Forest University’s Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Dr. Jafri is among Hampton Roads’ first board-certified subspecialists in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology). His practice focuses on the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder dysfunction, and other complex gynecologic conditions.
He is passionate about educating women on available treatment options and helping patients understand that bladder and pelvic floor conditions are common, treatable medical issues and not simply a normal part of aging.

Dr. Jafri is committed to offering both surgical and non-surgical treatment options tailored to each patient’s individual needs and goals. He also performs a wide range of advanced in-office procedures designed to provide high-level care in a comfortable and convenient setting.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jafri lives in Poquoson with his wife, Dr. Rabia Jafri. He enjoys traveling, spending time on the water with family and friends, and volunteering on surgical mission trips with Project Bangladesh. He and his wife are proud parents of four children and enjoy supporting them in their many accomplishments and activities.
