Lindsay Manzlak

Lindsay Manzlak, NP, is a licensed Nurse Practitioner.

Lindsay Manzlak was born and raised in Newport News and currently resides there with her husband Bernie, a tile craftsman, and their son and daughter. Throughout college, Lindsay participated in varsity cheerleading. After receiving her B.S. in nursing at the University of Virginia and her M.S. in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University, Lindsay started her nurse practitioner career in gynecologic oncology, serving the community for 6 years at Bon Secours. Such a background comes with a strong emphasis on cancer screening and early detection whenever possible.

Lindsay’s passion for birth and women’s health care goes as far back as she can remember, including watching A Baby Story on TLC in elementary school! She pursued nursing out of her love of direct patient care and education and the ability to connect with women throughout different phases of life. Lindsay is excited to continue wellness promotion across the lifespan through routine well-woman care, colposcopy, contraceptive care management, STD screening, and prenatal and postpartum care. She is grateful for the privilege of working with and learning from talented providers and patients alike. Lindsay’s role as a nurse practitioner expands on this to serve as an important part of the healthcare team, including access to care. She enjoys the life balance afforded by her role and is thankful every day to be able to devote time to both her patients and her family.

Each day as a nurse practitioner, Lindsay reminds her patients that women are notorious for taking care of everyone else, so she is genuinely grateful to see women in the office each day because it means they’ve taken the time to put themselves to the top of the never-ending to-do list. Lindsay tells patients to move daily, listen to their bodies, advocate for themselves whenever needed, follow screening recommendations, and never be afraid to ask questions regarding their health! If Lindsay could create billboards, she would tell every onlooker to drink more water, get regular pap smears, and talk to their healthcare providers about post-menopausal care.

When she is not working, Lindsay loves spending time with her family and friends, exercising, cooking, and using her home studio to paint! Fun fact, Lindsay is actually related to Andy Warhol! She is also proud to fundraise for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In fact, she’s raised tens of thousands of dollars in honor of her son, Will, since her family became involved years ago. Lindsay loves her hometown of Newport News and aims to continuously help her patients improve and enjoy their lives, as well.
